My concern is that he may be hiding an injury. He is pitching about as bad as he ever has. If he doesn’t turn things around soon, I think that has to be looked into.

I saw that Lyle Overbay was released from Arizona. He was batting .292 in just under 100 bats this year. Would he be any offensive help off the bench?

I would post something, but the last time I posted about not wanting Wandy to begin with because he was trending downward, it got me lots of angry “what the hell are you talking about” replies. So you’re not sucking me into THAT again, Tim……..oh wait…..too late!
However, so far, it does appear I might have been wrong about Gaby.

I wish the answer was clear on what the Pirates need to do. If it were after September 1st I think they could try some things, but who knows. At this point I just hope Burnett doesn’t hit the skids. Wow are they playing some ugly ball right now though, that is maybe what is most discouraging about all this. Not even being competitive and looking like fools in the process.
