I agree re: Taillon. It makes no sense that he be behind a guy like Hultzen who has much less upside. I think both Taillon and Cole fit in the 6-10 range.

Not yet. He has 97 at-bats and needs 130. So he will meet the requirements eventually.

Great to see our prospects getting some respect. Do any other teams have more players on the list? And I guess Starling hasn’t met the playing time requirement for a rookie season?

Agreed RE:instructs, he was an older prep player so I’d really prefer to see him start in high A at age 20. He was hitting A ball pitchers fine, it was really the 21:2 K:BB that needed work.

Surprised Taillon dropped to 16th. didn’t really do anything to deserve that other than not totally dominate High A. I’ll take a 20 year old at High A with more than a 3:1 K:BB ratio. Plus he completely smoked AA in 3 starts. I still like him more than Cole too but what’s not to love about either. With Clay Holmes, Kingham, and Tyler Glasnow to go with Heredia…there is a lot to be excited about.

In PNC will limit him to RF more likely. It’s not a big deal…guys are fluctuating all the time. If Bell hits .280+ and 20+ HR next year he will be right back in the top 100. Guessing he will repeat Wva to start. He didn’t get many reps this summer. Instructional league is gonna be extremely important for him.

Josh Bell is not a 5 tool player. He does not have appreciable speed and his defense will eventually limit him to LF. That’s not a Sept 2012 opinion, that’s from his initial scouting reports. 2012 was a total lost year for Bell and in the prospect world if you’re not advancing you get left behind. There’s no reason for him to be on Top 100 national lists. If he re-establishes himself in 2013, he’ll be right back on.

Bell gets hurt after a few games and falls off the list? He was one of the best 5-tool players to come out in some time, is this simply because he was injured, if so, i dont see how they justify that.
