I can kind of understand him playing Barmes considering there doesn’t seem to be better options. But playing Barajas?? The has to be some accountability for poor play. It has to send a bad message when you start players who have not produced all year out there every day. I am sure the other players like them, etc.. but they want to win. What does it tell them when they have players like Sanchez, Barmes, Barajas et al. going 0-fer every day and they keep playing? Put Mercer or Holt at SS, and call Fryer up or anyone as backup catcher.
