McDonald’s downfall started immediately after his ill-advised 122-pitch complete game on June 21.

JVB? Instant depression. He should be shut down due to “Arm Fatigue”. We waited on Karstens listening to him tell us he was capable of pitching and now he has become more injured than he was when we first had the option to shut him down for awhile. Neither Karstens or McDonald have the history of throwing 190+ innings. The fastball tends to straighten out, and the curves/sliders tend to flatten out, and then the mental side of it kicks in, or in this case, kicks out.

Nothing to gain. We are still a 5 game winning streak away from being contenders again but do we really need him? He is not helping us. I’d rather see McPherson get his starts and get the experience.

This guy needs to be shut down for the season. He has gone from top-of-the-rotation type to John Van Benschoten. Jeez!!!

Should he just sit out the rest of the season?
