The Scottsdale Scorpions won 5-2, thanks to a great start from Kyle Kaminska. Here is the rundown of how the Pirates prospects fared.
**Kaminska pitched five shutout innings, allowing three hits, walking none, and striking out three. He threw 57 pitches, with 38 going for strikes.
**Vic Black came in to close out the five run lead in the ninth inning, but suffered some control issues. Black allowed two runs on one hit and three walks. He only got two outs, with both coming on strikeouts. Dan Runzler came on to get the final out with the tying run at the plate.
**Gift Ngoepe went 1-for-4, picking up his first AFL hit with a triple.

Boy, if Black and Justin Wilson could fix their control issues, we’d have a nice L/R combo in the ‘pen. Of course, if Wilson could fix his control issue, he’d be a good starter….lol
