I’m reasonably sure you are correct. Hurdle played for Herzog in KC when he first came up. I’m unaware of anything connecting Hurdle and Ford.

Are you sure Hurdle wasn’t referring to his former manager “Whitey” Herzog when he was commenting on Fall Instructional League?

improved mightily the last two years, theres also no reason why the pirates cant do it a third.
but i agree about NH. its going to be hard to bring FAs to the Burgh, but this is finally the year that NH absolutely has to get it done.

Same bunch of clowns running things next season and another season of Clint Barmes at SS, yippee. Next season looks as if the pitching staff is in shambles or at least a giant question mark except for Burnett and Wandy, hopefully Burnett returns to first half form also and we have an inept offense. I see no reason to not believe that 21 in a row is coming. Now lets get out there NH and sign some has been low level free agents and tell us how good they are. On a side note, please proove me wrong Pirates, PLEASE!!!
