Pirates Have Invited 11 Non-Roster Players to Spring Training

The Pittsburgh Pirates have invited the following non-roster players to Spring Training, according to a list given to me today.

Brooks Brown, RHP

Erik Cordier, RHP

Ryan Reid, RHP

Kris Johnson, LHP

Mike Zagurski, LHP

Ali Solis, C

Jared Goedert, 3B

Matt Hague, 1B

Anderson Hernandez, 2B

Darren Ford, OF

Felix Pie, OF

A few of these guys we’ve already heard about at the time of their signings. There are a few guys we haven’t heard about, such as Hague. They could add to this list as Spring Training gets closer. I’d imagine we’ll see more catchers, just because the major league team will need plenty of catchers the first few weeks in camp.

  1. Nothing that looks intriguing with this bunch. I guess thats a good think in that it means we are not getting the super retreads.
