his numbers last year in AAA were interesting though…1.31 ERA in 43 games, 1.083 WHIP…nevertheless, it’s AAA and huntington does a fine job with the bullpen…

Exactly. Chad Beck has been known to have hot coals laid before him as a pathway to the mound. He would remove his cleats and socks to slowly walk on the coals on his way to the mound. This caused a great delay to many games, however the fear it instilled in his opponents was second to none.

Totally agree….Pittsburgh was 1 fiery AAA relief pitcher away from contending for a pennant. Now they’ve blown it. Clean house, fire N.H.!

This is a crippling blow to the organizational depth of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Chad Beck is known to be an outspoken leader and fiercely competitive. The Pirates organization is sorely lacking in both those areas and he would have helped tremendously. Sad to say this is yet another move ringing the death knell for the 2013 season.
