I.e. How much they made from ticket sales or merchandise?
Or how much it takes to maintain the stadium/employee wages
– Not players but front office/stadium workers/scouts?

Have to disagree with that statement, I think it is more like fans don’t care if a player gets a mil more or less. How many times do the Pirates get blasted for their payroll numbers by the media and fans? Other than Nutting himself, there probably isn’t any topic on the Pirates that gets more comments. Sad that the fans for the most part don’t realize major league baseball is not little league and credits/debits are a big part of it.
If there are two things that are totally misunderstood by fans and media, they would be baseball economics and baseball player feelings. The feelings one really gets me, every time I hear that a players feelings are hurt I would like to see the guy shipped out on the first cab that can get to the stadium, major league baseball is a big boy game, no place for crybabies.
