The fact that they don’t need 5 pitchers in April also makes a difference as to who they keep.

Starting Pitching depth is becoming a big strength of this team. The Pirates now have tons of guys who can help out in the bullpen like Locke,Oliver, Wilson , Mazzaro, and hopefully, Zach Stewart.
