It is probably on that same level and it is not as impressive as the fact he was playing in the ABL as a 16-year-old, as very few of these kids are in the ABL. I think that (plus his high bonus) speaks for itself. Like I said above, he is one of, or possibly the best player in this tournament, so it isn’t a surprise that he is doing good while batting third/playing SS.

Sounds like this tournament is the equivalent of a AA class high school tourney in the states with a bunch of 16 and 17 year olds. Not sure I am going to get to excited over the results here.

Kennelly is definitely near or at the top of all players in this tournament, so it isn’t a surprise that he bats third and plays shortstop. Would be great if he could stick at the position.
His two-run triple mentioned above was off Nick Hutchings, who we just reported today as signing with the Pirates. I wanted to mention it above, but we were waiting on more info about Hutchings before posting about his signing.

Impressed by the Kennelly update. I esp liked this part:
