Instead, we have downgraded kids like Matt Curry who was promoted from AA to AAA last year. A RH throwing lefty hitting 1B who will turn 25 this year. At AA last year he hit .285 hitting both righties and lefties in the .280′s, 396 AB’s, 34 doubles/5 triples/11 HR’s/76 RBI, .991 fielding percentage. This is a kid who should be at AAA getting reps at 1B and 3B. Altoona was the worst hitting park in the minors last year and hitting 11 HR’s in less than 400 AB’s tells me this could be a 20+ HR guy as he matures.
