For Walker, he can’t return yet, since he has to be on the DL for 15 days. So they can send him a few hours away to Altoona to play in a few games, then bring him back when he’s first eligible.

We lose pitching and bring up a utiliy infielder? Oh, and thanks to Cleveland for donating Jennmar Gomez to the Pirates. I liked Quincy Latimore, who the Pirates traded for Gomez, but his chances of getting to the majors in the OF for the Pirates were less than extremely slim.

Also, a little more than 30 days out of ST -and less than 10 days absent – why would Walker need to go to Altoona for rehab? His issue is a cut, and swinging in the BP net is just as good as sending him off somewhere.
