That kid is learning everyday! See tremendous improvements with quality AB’s. You never know about this kid. Hope everyone embraces what he has done in such a short period of time- he is young!

When do you think he might be moved up to Bradenton? Any rush since he is doing well right now and missed most of last year with his leg injury?

How is that going to effect the promotion of Cole and Talion?

I think Allie is what he is. It’s a waste of time keeping him in Low A ball. I have big doubts whether he can hit higher level pitching. I would not be hesitating to move him up to Bradenton to see what he can do.Or even Altoona. If he could manage a respectable 270 avg there this early on , We may have something. He’s really not learning anything at low A ball.

Considering he’s only thrown about 80 innings in the minors so far, I can see the logic of establishing a better “base” for him to work from at the lower levels. Hopefully a full season of innings under his belt, he’s more ready for a bit of a push in ’14, starting in the FSL. Not to get too far ahead, but if he handled all of this well and continued to show the promise he has, he could see time in Altoona in ’14. If that is the case, not much lost with a full season in Low A.

It’s more about need in the majors. Reid is doing well, but I don’t see a need for him at the moment. He’d be better as a depth option later if there are any injuries. To put him in now you’d have to DFA someone to create a roster spot, then option Bryan Morris to Triple-A.

Can we get Polanco a suit of body armor? Or maybe a great big roll of bubble wrap?

Not sure what more he has to prove at Indy. Decent number of IP at this point with an outstanding ERA and low BB numbers.

But I think teams can see through that kind of stuff. If Polanco, for example, makes the jump to Double-A and struggles for a few weeks before the deadline, I don’t think any team is going to sour on him.

Some of these guys might be trade chips.
