DeJesus is hitting over .300 for Indy. Although he doesn’t seem to be in the Pirates plans for SS as he’s mostly played 2B.

That is better than Brock Holt (the other player sent to the Red Sox in that trade) who is struggling for the Trilple A Pawtucket Red Sox (190/275/200 for a .475 OPS ewww). Holt has just one extra base hit (double) in 120 plate appearences.

By: Nathan Swartz Fri, 17 May 2013 01:50:34 +0000 Hanny has TJ surgery:

Jason Grilli replaced Hanny: 16 Saves 29:4K/BB 14.77K/9 0.74 WHIP as the new closer
Marc Melancon – 14 holds 22:1K/BB 0.71 WHIP 1.1 WAR
Stolmy Pimentel – 28K 1R in 30 innings in April, still doing decent in May in AA ball
Sands and DeJesus are kind of blah…
But the 7.5 million they saved on Hanrahan allowed them to get Francisco Liriano, who had 9Ks in his Bucco debut.
If there was ever a win in a trade, this is one of them.
