Video: Hurdle Talks Locke, Bullpen; Strasburg More Efficient

Three videos today from the after the Nationals’ 5-4 win against the Pirates at PNC Park.

Clint Hurdle’s interview is broken up into two parts and I was even able to snag some of Stephen Strasburg’s clubhouse interview. I’ll have a recap of today’s game up this evening but for now enjoy the videos.

“Melancon’s only going to pitch when we’re ahead in the 8th” = “I’m a dip@#$% oldschool manager who’s unwilling to put my best relievers in to high leverage situations and, because of that, I’m totally willing to cost this ballclub games” – according to Google Translate Hurdle-to-English.

Hurdle should have his bubblegum taken away for his handling of the bullpen today. Between that idiotic move of having AJ hit in the 7th last night and pulling Locke at 72 pitches but leaving Watson in to hit or walk anyone who came up in the 9th,I am not sure if there is any excuse to come up with.
