I feel It is time to promote him so he can learn from martin and have a potential impact on the offense.

Coach Banny told me that JMac is at 1.8 to the plate. That’s really, really, REALLY slow.

Everyone it seems disrespects him by stealing at nearly every opportunity. They don’t do this to Russell Martin. I saw an afternoon Indy game on the MLB network not long ago in which Sanchez threw a runner out at second with a perfect throw. I have never seen the Fort do this that I can recall.

He was practicing throwing from the crouch position in right field, he had a guy standing on the right field foul line and he was practicing throwing it to him. I don’t remember him throwing any of throws to the guy, they were all over the place including a couple of them into the right field stands, he nearly nailed a couple people before the game. He could not throw without any pressure on him, ever since, I see little hope in him ever being a throwing catcher.
I was at a high school all star try out camp and they had drills for catcher throwing out live runners, I did not see one catcher that could not throw better than McHenry. From what I read about Sanchez, It looks like he is getting into the same problem that McHenry has, he is rushing his throws, McDonald type pitchers will do that to catchers, the problem is McHenry now has that problem with all the pitchers. I like McHenry, I would like to see him throw without rushing, somewhere in his younger days he probably could throw well.

Confidence is a fragile thing, especially when it involves routine throws going Arie. Sanchez has outstanding throwing skills, I have to believe he had a couple bad days and it may have thrown his confidence off a bit. That could all change with a promotion and if it does not, they can always send him back.

(I don’t subscribe to milb.tv myself, or I’d go look.)
