Pirates Sign Five Draft Picks, Including 2nd Rounder Blake Taylor

The Pittsburgh Pirates have officially announced the signing of five picks from the 2013 MLB draft. The picks are as follows.

2nd Round – Blake Taylor, LHP

5th Round – Trae Arbet, SS

10th Round – Shane Carle, RHP

13th Round – Danny Collins, 1B

15th Round – Max Rossiter, C

We heard about Collins a few days ago, and I reported Rossiter earlier today. There were also rumors that Arbet was going to sign, but I didn’t get confirmation on him until this press release. So far, Taylor is the highest round pick who has signed.

The Draft Pick Signing Tracker has been updated with the moves. The Pirates have signed 15 players, including five of the 11 players in the top ten rounds. Bonuses for Taylor, Arbet, and Carle aren’t known, but this post will be updated when those are learned.
