Game Notes: Indianapolis battled back from being down 2-1 in the eighth inning. Brett Carroll hit a double to tie the score at 2-2. The Indians then took the lead on a three run homer by Lucas May, his first of the year. A Josh Harrison double and a Felix Pie single added another insurance run. Andy Oliver gave up one run on four hits in six innings. He had control problems, walking six on the night, but also struck out six. Oliver threw 111 pitches, with 62 strikes. Graham Godfrey made his first appearance since being acquired by the Pirates, closing out the game over the final three innings and getting the win.

Game Notes: Alen Hanson led off the first inning with a home run, his second of the year. With Bradenton down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Willy Garcia hit a three run shot for his fifth homer of the year. Adrian Sampson had a very efficient start, needing just 78 pitches to get through seven innings. Ryan Beckman made his first appearance since going down with an elbow injury in his first outing of the year last year with Altoona. Gregory Polanco picked up two doubles, giving him 16 on the year.
