I like morales but his obs is no better then jones obs. I would like to see a guy with good obs much like marte and mccuthen. I would also like to see a power bat to hit around Pedro. Pedro may see more pitch Arline’s unless we get someone with nice gap power, obs, and ba. Hunter pence seems logical type of guy to eye ball without losing much. I am just glad I am not in the front office to find these pieces

There isn’t a more perfect fit out there. The guy is a gritty, hard-working, .300 right-handed bat with World Series experiment. Free agent at the end of the season. Minimal risk, extremely high reward.

I cannot imagine it would take much to get him. He’s a good outfielder, strong arm, and can still hit.

I would hate to see this team – who I think is still 1-2 years away from really hitting on all cylinders – give up a 2-3 good prospects for a guy like Rios – who obviously would not be part of their long term future. Instead, get someone like a Marlon Byrd at a much lower price, but who could still help this team a lot.

I’d also see if I could package Morton, a mid tier prospect or two, and Snider or Tabata to get a another arm in the bullpen. Lambo should then be given a shot in RF. And you would still have either Snider or Tabata as a fall back plan.

Replacing McKenry with Sanchez would be an upgrade as well.

I like Rios btw I think he could be a nice upgrade over Tabata…hopefully they just swap jerseys.

I could even make a case for Cumpton over Morton. The problem with Morton however, he would not be someone I would want coming out of the bullpen in a key situation. I would either cut him or try to package him in a trade, although he has little value.

It all depends on how the organization feels about the options out there like Byrd, Pena, Ibanez, and Rios. Regardless in my opinion I would say he will be on the 25 man by August 31st. It would be a shame to have a playoff (hopefully) bench with Inge instead of Lambo.
