Very well done and provides excellent analysis and statistical information on all players in the Pirates farm system!

The Marauders are short a few bullpen guys due to a DH over the weekend, promotion today, and a 19 inning game on Monday. That’s probably why Rocha came over from the GCL to pitch three innings tonight.

Thank you for your insight – I do appreciate it and your responsiveness!

He just made the jump from the DSL to the US, which is why he was in extended and the GCL. He’s a good, hard thrower, and despite the numbers tonight I don’t think he’s close to ready to being in high-A. Maybe a push to low-A next year would be appropriate.

I read it cover to cover when it arrived, but did not even consider it until now.

But, I was looking for something more current – relative to this season. He has only pitched in 6 games, but has been very effective so far with impressive numbers. I assume he was either injured or in extended ST for some reason?

BTW, what is the point of this Forum if its not to ask questions or make comments??

Then you could flip to page 144 and get your answer quicker than it would take you to type out these questions. :)

Probably more than any other starting pitcher, he has thoroughly dominated his level and needs a new challenge.

I’d give Kingham 3-4 more starts, and if he continues to perform like he has been, he deserves consideration for a move up to Indy.

Was he in extended ST most of the season, because it seems like he just recently came on the scene?

Looking at his past records in VSL and DSL, he put up some impressive numbers – as far as ERA, Ks/9, opposing BA, etc. Just 21 years old. Thin, but is 6’3″.

Can anyone provide a brief synopsis about him?? Is he a real prospect?

I am thinking at least 5, with McGuire leading the way, Meadows close behind him, JaCoby Jones in the high teens, and Dickson and/or Blake Taylor near the bottom.

My brother-in-law tells me that McGuire’s throws to 2nd have been hitting 90 on the radar gun (they work both coming and going) – that seems pretty special for throwing off flat ground with nothing but dirt to push off from.

If McGuire is still over .400 in a couple of weeks, he has got to go find a tougher league for the last month of the season, don’t you think? Of course that would still require him to hit .350 from now to then, which is a hell of a year in the GCL. Any chance he could get a hyper-aggressive placement to Bradenton next year, or would that just be setting him up to fail?
