AAA Indianapolis – Taillon, Polanco, Kingham, Rojas, Dickerson, Adalberto Santos, Sadler, McPherson and Irwin.
.
AA Altoona – Hanson, Dan Gamache, Zac Fuesser (maybe promoted during the year to Altoona), Joely Rodriguez (also maybe promoted during the year) and maybe Allie?
.
A+ Bradenton – Glasnow, Bell, Barnes, Herrera, Orlando Castro, Jason Creasy, Ryan Hafner and maybe Holmes?
.
I know not all of the players I listed are top 20 prospects but they are all at least interesting prospects who are playing well and probably will be promoted next year.

.
I’ll just add that we’ll be seeing a yearly influx of the talent moving up the system.
.
Here is what prospects (top or mid level) we could see make it to the majors over the next few years:
.
2014 – Polanco, Taillon and Kingham. Also, Lambo and Pimentel if they aren’t Septemeber call ups in 2013. Maybe Sanchez becomes the backup catcher?
.
2015 – Glasnow, Dickerson and Hanson. Maybe we see someone like Sadler as a reliever? We might also see Allie if he is for real.
.
The future is closer than you think.

With the arrival of Marte and Cole, we can possibly see Taillon and Polanco with the next phase, followed by a Kingham/Glasnow/Hanson, etc…
.
I think NH has done a great job as GM even though most of his early trades didnt pan out. He knew he was going to build up from within and knew there would be some lean years. IMO, one of the front runners for FO Exec of the year.

At the start of the year we had Cole, Wilson, Morris, and Mercer in our top 20. All four have graduated.

Also, it’s easier to move down in the rankings if you’re in the upper levels. The lower levels are more about potential. Wyatt Mathisen can miss most of the year, and that doesn’t change his upside. The upper levels are about results. Andy Oliver struggles with his control in Triple-A, and he’s going to drop. Phil Irwin misses a year and it doesn’t change his potential much, but it does make him one year older and causes him to drop. Those are two guys who would have been in the top 20 if not for injuries (Irwin) or control (Oliver).

Also, the top 20 is just a random cutoff point. Casey Sadler and Andrew Lambo were just outside the top 20, and both are in the upper levels. I don’t know where they would have ranked, because we didn’t fine tune the rankings after 20.

You’re going to always have this type of situation. Players graduate from the upper levels, guys slump in the upper levels and it impacts their performance, and the lower levels provide more chances for breakout players (4 teams vs 2 in the upper levels).

Marte, Cole, Locke, Wilson and Morris were all top-20 prospects as recently as 2 years ago. So there is a smaller number at the top 2 levels.
AAA 4
AA 3
A+ 2
A 7
Below A 4
That is a pretty good distribution. Expect a couple of guys to be promoted bEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR.

Box score doesn’t show that Ramirez made a great catch in LF last night going up against the scoreboard to rob extra bases. He hit the ball hard (all line drives) all night

The goal of all MLB orginizations is to have their prospects come ” in waves “, not all at the same time. In other words,I don’t quite understand your point really !

You’re not always going to have a stocked AAA team.
