Perhaps that is the reason he has not been dominant. Minor leagues are still for experimenting and improving your game. I doubt there is anything to worry about.

Cole has done well so far, but I would feel much better about him if his secondary stuff was better.

I saw him in person in Bowie a week or so ago, and the only think that was impressive about him was his velocity – ranged from 95-99. But his control was spotty and he could not put batters away late in counts.

For someone with his pedigree, high prospect status, stuff, etc., I would expect him to dominate AA lineups with high SO rates.

Probably no reason for alarm, but concern. I was hoping and expecting he would be pushing for a AAA promotion by now.
