Alex Dickerson was named the Eastern League Player of the Month for July.

Alex Dickerson has been named the Eastern League Player of the Month for the month of July. The first baseman hit for a .413/.440/.683 line in 104 at-bats last month, with ten doubles and six homers to win the award. Dickerson was also the Pirates Prospects Player of the Month for July, as his numbers were the best in the entire minor league system among hitters.

Dickerson led the league in nearly every offensive category during the month of July, including average (.413), runs scored (23), hits (43), extra-base hits (16), total bases (71), RBI (27), slugging percentage (.683) and OPS (1.123). He had 14 multi-hit games in July, with two four-hit days.  He also enjoyed a season-best nine-game hitting streak duri...
