Game Notes: Stolmy Pimentel had another great start tonight, throwing seven shutout innings. It was the tenth start in a row that Pimentel has gone 6+ innings for Indianapolis, and he has given up three or fewer earned runs in seven of those outings. This was also his second best start of the year, Altoona starts included, with his best being eight shutout innings on July 12th. Indianapolis carried a lead into the eighth inning until Kyle Farnsworth gave up two runs. Farnsworth has now given up three earned runs in 1.2 innings over two appearances. Vic Black got the loss, giving up a walk off homer in the bottom of the ninth.

Game Notes: Dilson Herrera extended his modest hitting streak to four games. He also stole his 11th base of the year. Luis Urena picked up his third double and his first triple in West Virginia, spanning 72 at-bats. He only has a .167 average, but is showing some power with a .152 ISO. He also has 39 strikeouts in those 72 at-bats, which sums up his career. He shows some impressive power with flashes of dominant hitting, but his lack of plate patience will hold him back. John Kuchno continued his impressive run in the second half of West Virginia’s season. He has a 3.51 ERA in 59 innings over 11 starts, with a 39:16 K/BB ratio.

Game Notes: Edwin Espinal hit his second homer of the season, and his second in as many days. He extended his hitting streak to ten games, hitting for a .417/.425/.667 line in 36 at-bats over that span. Wyatt Mathisen added two more hits, and is now 4-for-6 in two appearances with Jamestown. Jin-De Jhang followed up his two home run game on Monday with a two double game today, giving him eight on the season. Jhang now has five multi-hit games in his last seven games, and is hitting for a .325/.325/.525 line in 40 at-bats over his last ten games.
