What’s the biggest thing going forward for Glasnow? Keeping the walks down? I still have extremely high hopes for this kid.

    • John Dreker

He isn’t having a lot of success this year with his fastball command, so he really hasn’t made any progress. They need him throwing strikes with his fastball, so he has a chance to work in his curve and change-up more, especially the change, which is average at best. The games I’ve listened to, he was throwing about 90% fastball and wasn’t sharp, so he won’t be moving up any time soon. Most were giving him 12-14 starts at Bradenton before he moved up, but right now, that seems unlikely, which won’t give him much time at Altoona this year.

So far seems like a really lackluster year for the top prospects beside THE prospect GP. Kingham and Glasnow seem to be struggling a little bit. Hope they have good outings tonight.

  • Y2JGQ2

Well Glasnow pitched well or okay, if not fantastic. Ditto for Kingham. Locke however giving up 1 hit in 7 innings and walking 2, it looks like he’s ready to rejoin the rotation…..soon. Can I mention how happy I would be if they Traded Wandy and Edison for a box of bananas and added cumpton and locke to the rotation?
