Adam Wilk will make his 11th start of the season tonight. He also pitched once in relief. He has pitched a total of 60 innings, allowing 69 hits, seven homers and 17 walks. Wilk has 40 strikeouts, an 0.93 GO/AO ratio and a .296 BAA. In his last start, he went 7.2 innings, allowing six runs on 10 hits and two walks. He also gave up ten hits in his previous outing. Wilk has a 6.00 ERA in 18 innings on the road.

Adrian Sampson will make his 12th start of the season tonight. He was named the Pirates Prospects minor league pitcher of the month for May. Sampson had a 2.08 ERA over 39 innings in six May starts. He has given up two runs or less in all but one start this year. He faced Binghamton on 5/15 and went seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits and a walk. In five home starts, Sampson has an 0.85 ERA. He is holding right-handed batters to a .165 average.

Orlando Castro will make his 11th start of the season. He has also pitched once in relief. Castro has thrown a total of 61.2 innings, giving up 49 hits, two homers and eight walks. He has 45 strikeouts, a 1.42 GO/AO ratio and a .223 BAA. In his last start, Castro went six innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk. He has given up six runs total over his last five starts. Castro had a 2.36 ERA over 34.1 innings in May. He was recently selected to the Florida State League All-Star team.

Luis Heredia will make his third start of the season tonight. In his last start, he left after one pitch due to shoulder soreness. This is his first start since April 12th. In his only other start, Heredia went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Last season for West Virginia, he had a 3.05 ERA in 65 innings, with 55 strikeouts and a .224 BAA.
