Minor Moves: JaCoby Jones Placed on the West Virginia DL

Published:

JaCoby Jones has been placed on the West Virginia disabled list, per a West Virginia press release. No word yet on the injury that led to the placement. Jones last played on Sunday, and West Virginia hasn’t played since then. We’ll have more updates when we get them.

UPDATE: I’m being told the placement is illness related. Minor League DL trips are 7 days, so it must be something that is expected to keep him out for most of this week.

Other moves today:

**RHP Felipe Gonzalez has been promoted from West Virginia to Bradenton.

**RHP Jake Burnette has been promoted from Bristol to West Virginia.

**Catcher Francisco Diaz has been activated from the West Virginia DL.

**Matt Curry was assigned to Altoona, after being activated off the Indianapolis disabled list.

**Drew Maggi has been placed on the DL in Altoona with a right groin strain.
