Trevor Williams Leaves Indianapolis Start With Shoulder Discomfort

Published:

Pittsburgh Pirates right-handed pitching prospect Trevor Williams left today’s start for Indianapolis early. Williams was looked at by the trainers after throwing a pitch in the dirt in the first, pointing out a possible shoulder issue, pictured above from David Hague.

I confirmed with Pirates Director of Minor League Operations Larry Broadway that Williams was experiencing shoulder discomfort. That’s all we know right now, but we’ll have an update tomorrow after more evaluation.
