Sean Rodriguez Named National League Co-Player of the Week

The National League announced on Monday afternoon that Sean Rodriguez was named the National League Co-Player of the Week for week of September 12-18, sharing honors with Brandon Drury of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Rodriguez hit .414/.455/.913 last week, going 12-for-29 with five homers. In addition to the offense, he also played all four infield positions on defense. On the season, Rodriguez is hitting .265/.348/.523 in 128 games, and he has played every position except catcher and pitcher.

Last week, Jung Ho Kang was named the NL Player of the Week, which was the first time a Pirate had won the award since Andrew McCutchen in August of 2015.
