Clint Hurdle has announced today that A.J. Burnett will be his Opening Day starter when the Pirates take on the Chicago Cubs on Monday, April 1st at PNC Park. Hurdle Officially Extended Through 2014

The Pittsburgh Pirates have officially confirmed the news we heard yesterday about the contract extension for manager Clint Hurdle. He is now signed through the 2014 season and the club holds an option for the 2015 season. His contract was due to expire at the end of this year.
