Pirates sign six international prospects

According to Dejan Kovacevic, the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed six international prospects out of the Dominican Republic, pending age and identity investigations.  Those prospects are RHP Yunior Montero, LHP Cristian Hernandez, OF Miguel DeAza, SS Rodney Polonia, OF Yunior Valdez, and LHP Melvin Rosario. Pirates sign Bryton Trepagnier

I mentioned this earlier today, but it’s now been confirmed: the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed 41st round draft pick Bryton Trepagnier.  Trepagnier, a right handed pitcher, came out of the prep ranks, pitching for East St. John high school.  He had a commitment to Bossier Parish Community College after being the staff ace at East St. John.
