Pirates Activate Starling Marte, Place Pedro Alvarez on the Bereavement List

The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled outfielder Starling Marte and have placed Pedro Alvarez on the bereavement list, according to a team press release. Last night, Ryan Palencer wrote about how Marte wasn’t experiencing any setbacks in his rehab. Josh Wall Clears Waivers, Outrighted to Triple-A

Relief pitcher Josh Wall has cleared waivers, and has been outrighted to Triple-A, the Pirates have announced. The right-hander was claimed off waivers from the Angels back in May. He put up a 3.22 ERA in 22.1 innings with Indianapolis, along with an 8.9 K/9 and a 3.6 BB/9 ratio.
