Pirates Sign Undrafted Free Agent Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed undrafted free agent Robbie Kilcrease, a left handed pitcher from Texas Tech, according to Rob Biertempfel.  The signing was announced yesterday on the Texas Tech official site.  Kilcrease was a redshirt junior, and will report to Bradenton, where he likely will play with the high-A team. Pirates Agree to Terms With 10th Round Pick Taylor Lewis

The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to terms with 10th round pick Taylor Lewis, Pirates Prospects has learned.  Lewis, a center fielder out of the University of Maine, put up a .287/.367/.412 line in 216 at-bats this year, with 20 stolen bases.  He was rated the fifth best prospect in upper New England by Baseball America.
