The Pirates have signed their first player from Guatemala, first baseman Dennis Hurtarte. The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed two players from Taiwan, according to Taiwan Baseball.  The Pirates added catcher Chin-De Chang and left handed pitcher Wei-Chung Wang.
