State College Spikes Player Reports 8/25

Tonight I got a chance to see several State College Spikes players for the first time this year.  The Spikes had a bad game, losing 11-4, with five errors on defense.  Ryan Hafner, who has had a strong year this year, had one of his worst outings, giving up two homers and six runs, with only three earned.  After the game, Spikes manager Kimera Bartee held a very brief meeting with the team, threw on some shorts, and left the stadium....

Three Hits For Presley And Two Scoreless Innings For Heilman In Tribe Loss

Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs  7,  Indianapolis Indians  6 [ box ] The Indians could not overcome a 4-run 6th inning by the Iron Pigs, as the Pigs won the final game of the season between these two teams at Victory Field tonight.  A 3-hit night by LF Alex Presley, and a pair of singles by 1B Matt Hague provided some offensive support for the Tribe, but it was not enough.  The newest member of the Tribe, reliever Aaron Heilman, made his...
