The Pittsburgh Pirates wrapped up their 2009 season today, and with the completion of their year, I have the estimated 2009 40-man payroll. Any salaries below that are not in bold font are the salaries I did not know. Pittsburgh Pirates 2009 Opening Day Payroll

USA Today released it’s Opening Day payroll figures today, with the Pirates totaling $48,693,000. That’s almost even with last year’s $48,689,783 figure.
