Pirates Sign Christian Colonel to a Minor League Deal

The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed third baseman Christian Colonel to a minor league deal, according to Matt Eddy of Baseball America.  Colonel played for three different organizations in 2010, between the AA and AAA levels.  In his career at the AAA level, Colonel has a .291/.352/.422 line in 886 at-bats, although all of those came in the Pacific Coast League.
