Pirates Reportedly Agree to Terms with 12th Round Pick

According to this article from the Rolla Daily News, the Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to terms with 12th round draft pick Dalton Friend.  The 6′ 3″, 230lb left-handed pitcher played for Jefferson College (JUCO) in 2012 and had signed a national letter of intent with Texas Tech for next season. Rounds 11-15: A Contingency Plan For Appel?

The new Collective Bargaining Agreement punishes teams with harsh penalties if they go over their total bonus pool. The bonus pool is made up of picks in rounds 1-10.
