The Pirates sent Maggi to the New York-Penn League and he struggled to hit in limited action.  When he played, it was at short.

Maggi spent the season in low A.  He hit reasonably well, with excellent plate discipline.  He also stole a lot of bases, but got caught a lot.  He again played short almost exclusively.

2012

Maggi split the season between high A and AA.  He played more second than short and also saw some time in the outfield corners.  His main contribution at the plate was drawing walks.

2013

Spending the whole season in AA, Maggi hit a little better.  He played all over the infield, including first, and again saw time in the outfield.

2014

The Pirates sent Maggi back to Altoona and he had his best offensive season so far.  He again played all over the infield and in the outfield corners.

2015
AA:  242/322/284, 422 AB, 18 2B, 45 BB, 82 K, 29-41 SB

Maggi reportedly got upset when the Pirates assigned him to Altoona once more during spring training.  The result was his release.  He signed a minor league deal with the Angels and spent the season with them in AA, playing mostly short and third.  His hitting dropped off quite a bit.  After the season he became a free agent and signed with the Dodgers.

2016

Maggi finally made it to AAA at the start of the season, but he went back and forth several times between AA and AAA.  He again played all over and his hitting was better.  After the season he became a free agent again and re-signed with the Dodgers.

2017
AAA:  271/367/392, 255 AB, 16 2B, 5 HR, 35 BB, 63 K, 7-10 SB

Maggi missed the month of April, then spent the rest of the season in AAA, splitting his time between second, third and short.  He continued to hit reasonably well.  Upon becoming a free agent, Maggi this time signed with the Indians.

2018
AAA:  272/333/345, 232 AB, 12 2B, 1 3B, 1 HR, 21 BB, 57 K, 11-16 SB

Starting in early April, Maggi served a 50 game suspension for violation of MLB’s drug policy.  When he returned he mostly played second.  After the season he signed with the Twins.

2019

Playing mostly second and third, Maggi had a good season, doubling his previous high for home runs.  He re-signed with the Twins after the season.

2020

Maggi did not see action during the pandemic season, then re-signed to return to the Twins.

2021
AAA:  252/354/456, 318 AB, 13 2B, 2 3B, 16 HR, 40 BB, 114 K, 12-17 SB

Playing mostly second, third and short, Maggi had easily his best season at the plate.  He appears to have sacrificed some contact for the longball.  After the season he signed with the Phillies.

2022

Maggi’s hitting tailed off badly.  In early August, the Pirates started running short of infielders at Indianapolis and they acquired Maggi from the Phillies in what will probably end up as a cash deal.  Maggi played second, third and short for Indianapolis and hit about like he had with the Phillies.

Maggi became a free agent after the season, but re-signed on a minor league deal with the Pirates.  He had a huge spring as a non-roster invitee, but the Pirates assigned him to Altoona.  In late April, they called him up when Bryan Reynolds went on the bereavement list.  He was up long enough to see some action and pick up his first major league hit and RBI.  Then the Pirates outrighted him to Altoona.
