According to Dejan Kovacevic, Vinnie Chulk has been placed on the Indianapolis Indians’ disabled list due to a recurring tight right biceps.  Chulk has been getting hammered, allowing 16 earned runs in just four innings this year.  Chulk was one of the last relievers cut from Spring Training, and was close to making the list.  He probably lost his spot when the Pirates took a flier on Hayden Penn. A few notes from today… -Hayden Penn accepted his outright assignment to AAA.  He will remain with the Pirates.  Penn could have elected to become a free agent, since this was the second time he has been outrighted off a 40-man roster.  Penn can become a minor league free agent at the end of the 2010 season if he’s not on the Pirates 40-man roster.  This will give them some time to evaluate him, and see...
