Pirates call up Brad Lincoln and Jose Tabata

The Pittsburgh Pirates have called up top prospects Brad Lincoln and Jose Tabata, both of which could make their debuts tonight.  Lincoln definitely will make his debut, as he is the scheduled starter against Washington. Clement to AAA; Tabata and Lincoln joining the Pirates

The Pirates designated reliever Jack Taschner for assignment tonight, and optioned Jeff Clement to Triple-A Indianapolis. Taschner will be replaced by Brad Lincoln, but the second roster move will not be announced until Wednesday. There are unconfirmed rumblings that Jose Tabata will be the one promoted to Pittsburgh.

A few notes before the game tonight… -The Pirates activated Jack Taschner from the 15-day disabled list last night, and optioned Steven Jackson to AAA. -Jimmy Barthmaier has been moved from Bradenton to Altoona in his rehab assignment.  Barthmaier made two appearances with Bradenton, combining for three innings, one run, one hit, no walks, and one strikeout. -Ramon Aguero started his rehab assignment with Bradenton....
