Eric Wedge to the Mariners

According to Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated, the Seattle Mariners have settled on Eric Wedge as their next manager.  Wedge was seen as the favorite for the Pittsburgh Pirates open spot, and with him off the market, the race seems wide open. The Pittsburgh Pirates have added two more candidates to the official managerial interview list, interviewing Ken Macha and Jeff Banister today.  Macha is the former manager of the Milwaukee Brewers, while Bannister ended the season as the bench coach for the Pirates.
