7:02 PM: Took awhile to get up here from Virginia.  I’ve driven way too much in the last few weeks.  Listened to a strong inning from Owens in the first.  Got to the stadium just as Chase d’Arnaud led off with a solo homer off of Andy Pettitte.  1-0 Altoona heading to the bottom of the second.  Keep refreshing this page for updates.

7:06 PM: Pettitte with an easy inning in the second.  Only needed eight pitches, with six of them strikes.  1-0 Altoona after 2.

7:16 PM: Owens allows three hits and one run in the third inning.  Still looking better than his last outing.  Has thrown 56 pitches, 37 for strikes, and has five strikeouts so far.  Game tied 1-1 going to the bottom of the third.

7:25 PM: Yung Chi Chen with a single, moves to second on a wild pitch, then Chase d’Arnaud walks and Chen moves to third on another wild pitch.  Runners at first and third with one out.

7:26 PM: And Josh Harrison with an RBI single to put Altoona up 2-1.

7:30 PM: Good inning for Altoona, getting a run off of Pettitte.  D’Arnaud so far has a homer and a five pitch walk against a guy who is arguably a future Hall of Fame pitcher.  Altoona leads 2-1 after three innings.

7:36 PM: Owens is dealing tonight. Six strikeouts now through four innings.  He’s arguably out-pitching Andy Pettitte tonight.

7:41 PM: Miles Durham gets a two out single, but otherwise an easy inning for Pettitte.  He only needed six pitches, and all of them were strikes.  2-1 Altoona after 4 innings.  48 pitches so far for Pettitte, 36 of them for strikes.

7:47 PM: Owens allows two doubles in the fifth inning and the score is now tied 2-2 with one out.

7:53 PM: Owens runs in to some trouble in the fifth inning, but limits the damage to just one run allowed.  Gets saved by a huge throw to the plate by Miles Durham on what would have been an RBI single.  Durham threw a laser to the plate, right on the mark to nail the runner.  There was no room for error with that throw.  That has to be the fourth or fifth time Durham has nailed a guy at the plate in the last few weeks.

8:00 PM: Chase d’Arnaud with a single through the right side. Now is 2-for-2 off of Pettitte with a walk. Josh Harrison follows with a bunt single to load the bases with no outs.

8:03 PM: Jordy Mercer with a chopper back to Pettitte who throws home for the first out as part of a 1-2-3 double play.  Jared Hughes warming up in the bullpen for Altoona.

8:06 PM: Matt Hague strikes out on a 3-2 pitch stranding runners at second and third.  Jared Hughes coming in to pitch.  Andy Pettitte has thrown 67 pitches, 45 for strikes.

8:11 PM: Owens and Pettitte are both done after five innings.  Their lines:

Owens: 5 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 0 HR

Pettitte: 5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 HR

8:13 PM: Hughes with a quick 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts.  Andrew Brackman is on to pitch for Trenton.

8:23 PM: Andrew Lambo gets a single in the sixth, but that’s all for Altoona. 2-2 going to the 7th inning.  Press box was extremely crowded tonight.  Almost half of the people cleared out when Pettitte left the game.  They all went down to interview him.

8:27 PM: Pettitte is done, but is signing autographs for the fans.  Very classy move, especially in the visiting park.  Meanwhile, Jared Hughes with another easy inning, recording two more strikeouts.  Now has four strikeouts through two innings.

8:33 PM: Trenton finally gets Chase d’Arnaud out, as Andrew Brackman strikes him out in the seventh inning.  Nothing for Altoona in the inning as they go to the eighth tied 2-2.

8:46 PM: Hughes strands a runner at third.  Great three inning outing for Hughes. Threw 45 pitches, 33 for strikes.  Only allowed one hit.  I’m assuming he’s done, as Daniel Moskos is getting ready in the bullpen. 2-2 going to the bottom of the 8th.

8:51 PM: Jordy Mercer leads off the inning popping up to third. The third baseman dropped the ball, allowing Mercer to reach second.  Matt Hague was hit with the next pitch, putting runners at first and second with no outs.  Andrew Lambo follows with a sacrifice bunt, putting the runners at second and third with one out.  Hector Gimenez intentionally walked, and we’ve now got the bases loaded with one out for Miles Durham (1-for-3 today).

8:52 PM: And Durham swings at the first pitch, grounding in to a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning.  Tied up 2-2 heading to the 9th inning.  Daniel Moskos coming on to pitch for Altoona.

8:56 PM: Final line for Jared Hughes: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K, 44 pitches, 33 for strikes.

9:00 PM: Moskos gets a nice pick at third base from Josh Harrison for the first out, gets a strikeout looking for the second out, and a lineout to Andrew Lambo in center for the third out.  Good wheels by Lambo tracking down the liner hit somewhat deep to right center.  2-2 heading to the bottom of the 9th.

9:03 PM: Bryan Morris is warming up in the Altoona bullpen.

9:05 PM: With two outs, Chase d’Arnaud gets hit in the ribs.  I’m calling a stolen base and an RBI single by Harrison to end the game.

9:06 PM: Harrison hit a liner to right field, but a running Daniel Brewer made the play.  An inch higher and the game is over.

9:08 PM: Bryan Morris is on to pitch in the top of the tenth inning.

9:17 PM: Morris gives up a leadoff walk.  Hague fields a hard bunt down the first base line to get the runner at second.  A single up the middle puts runners at first and second with one out.  No one warming up in the bullpen right now.

9:20 PM: Morris gets the second out, then allows an RBI single to right field. 3-2 Trenton in the top of the 10th.

9:25 PM: Morris strikes out the final batter of the inning, but the damage is done. 3-2 Trenton heading in to the bottom of the 10th.  Jordy Mercer, Matt Hague, and Andrew Lambo due up.

9:30 PM: Mercer strikes out on a low and away breaking ball.  Hague grounds out to short on the first pitch he sees.  Down to Lambo for the final out.  Lambo flies out to the warning track in deep center field.  Trenton wins 3-2.
