Pirates Re-Sign Donald Veal

The Pittsburgh Pirates have re-signed Donald Veal to a minor league contract, according to Matt Eddy of Baseball America.  Veal was non-tendered two weeks ago, but the Pirates were said to be trying to bring him back. Pirates Sign Andy Marte and Two Others

The Pittsburgh Pirates signed three players to minor league free agent deals today.  Those players are third baseman Andy Marte, right handed pitcher Fernando Nieve, and catcher Dusty Brown. Pirates Re-Sign Justin Thomas

According to Jennifer Langosch, the Pittsburgh Pirates have re-signed left handed reliever Justin Thomas to a minor league deal, with an invite to Spring Training.  Thomas was outrighted from the 40-man roster last week, and was eligible for free agency since it was the second time he had been outrighted off the 40-man roster.
