Pirates Place Infielder Nunez on 60-day DL

BRADENTON — In order to make room for right-hander A.J. Burnett on the 40-man roster, the Pirates placed infielder Gustavo Nunez on the 60-day disabled list with a right ankle injury. Ohlendorf signs with Red Sox

PITTSBURGH — Right-hander Ross Ohlendorf signed with the Boston Red Sox today, according to Scott Bradley (via Peter Gammons). The deal is reported to be a minor league contract.
