Pirates sign Tony Sanchez

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reached a deal with first round pick Tony Sanchez, according to Dejan Kovacevic on the PBC Blog. The deal is believed to be for $2.5 M. No big surprise on this move. The deals for Paul Maholm and Eric Hinske are official. I have updated the 40-man Roster and Payroll chart, as well as the Payroll Commitments Chart. I also added Hinske to the 25-man Roster Projection, and removed Andy Phillips. These charts will be updated again when a 40-man roster move is made to clear space for Hinske.
