Jameson Taillon Video From Pirate City

Jameson Taillon pitched three innings against the New York Yankees’ A-ball team on Saturday at Pirate City. He put up a dominant performance, needing only 31 pitches to get through the outing.  I did a feature on Taillon prior to this start, and in the feature he mentioned that Pittsburgh Pirates pitching coordinator Jim Benedict has been working with him on removing a jump in his delivery, which will allow him to keep the ball...

Bryton Trepagnier Video From Pirate City

Yesterday I posted video of Stetson Allie working a simulated game at Pirate City.  Allie was rotating with Bryton Trepagnier, who was the 41st round pick by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2010.  Trepagnier is a tall pitcher with a projectable frame, at 6′ 5″, 180 pounds.  He signed out of high school in 2010, and is pretty much a project at this point. Luis Heredia Video From Today at Pirate City

Today was a camp day at Pirate City.  The Pirates did a workout in the morning, then played two inter-squad games.  Top Mexican pitching prospect Luis Heredia pitched in one of the games.  I noticed he was pitching during his first batter, and was able to quickly react and get video of his next two batters.  Heredia struck out the first two hitters he saw, and had a two strike count on the third hitter, but the inning was called when...
