Wes Freeman Promoted to West Virginia

The Pittsburgh Pirates have promoted outfielder Wes Freeman from State College to West Virginia.  Freeman, one of two Spikes to play in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game, improved his average from .169 on July 17 to .304 at the conclusion of tonight’s game.
