Pittsburgh Pirates Prospect Watch 9/6/10

INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS (AAA)

Lincoln

Indianapolis lost to Louisville 6-3.  Brad Lincoln (L, 7-5, 4.12) pitched 2.1 innings, allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits, with three walks and five strikeouts.  Lincoln was on a 60 pitch limit, and was promoted to Pittsburgh after the game.  Dana Eveland (7.96) pitched 2.2 shutout innings, allowing two hits, and striking out one.  Corey Hamman (3.74) pitched two innings, allowing a run on a walk and a hit, with one strikeout.  Anthony Claggett (6.26) pitched a perfect inning with one strikeout.

Pedro Ciriaco (.281) went 1-for-4 with a double and a run.  Jonathan Van Every (.214) went 2-for-3 with a solo homer (10).  Kevin Melillo (.276) went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.

ALTOONA CURVE (AA)

Watson

Altoona lost to Reading 3-0.  Tony Watson (L, 6-4, 2.67) pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, with two walks and three strikeouts.  Craig Hansen (0.00) made his debut rehab appearance for Altoona, pitching two shutout innings with two walks.  Tom Boleska (2.73) pitched one inning, allowing a run on two hits, with no walks and one strikeout.

Josh Harrison (.300) and Jim Negrych (.274) each went 1-for-4.  Andrew Lambo (.275) had the only other Altoona hit, going 1-for-3.

BRADENTON MARAUDERS (A+)

Bradenton was off today.  Their playoff series begins tomorrow.
